Bullets found at Chinese school in Tokyo Two bullets about 5 millimeters in diameter and holes likely made by them were found Monday at a Japanese-Chinese language school in Tokyo, while a razor blade was delivered last week to the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka. The developments are believed to be linked to Chinese people's demonstrations to protest over Japan's wilful distortion of history, held in China in the past several weeks. In Tokyo, four holes were found shortly before 7 a.m. Monday in the front door of the institute, located on the ground floor of an annex to the Japan-China Friendship Center in Bunkyo Ward, and the two bullets were located nearby, police said. No one was injured, they said. The police said they suspect the incident could be vicious harassment and are investigating it as a case of property destruction. The institute, founded in 1951 as a Chinese language school aimed at helping promote exchanges between Japan and China, has also been offering Japanese language courses for Chinese people studying in Japan since 1986. Meanwhile, the Chinese consulate officials in Fukuoka said Monday they received an envelope containing a letter objecting to the Chinese people's demonstrations and a razor blade. It did not have the name of the sender. The officials said they do not plan to file a complaint with the police about the letter. The consulate has recently been receiving numerous harassing telephone calls and faxes protesting the demonstrations in China, they added.
