Name list of bosses and officials in brisk sales

A shop specializing in the sales of comprehensive listings of business
owners, executives, and officials is currently selling a pricey yet hot-item
book that provides the detailed information of 90,000 enterprises in Beijing,
according to a Beijing newspaper.
The book, titled List of Beijing's 90,000
Bosses , provides the names of
enterprises and their executives as well as office phone numbers, addresses, and
even the companies' registered capital and staff number.
In addition, an assistant said the bookstore also
provides Listing of Public Organizations as well as Listing of Top
Officials with a
special focus on finance officials.
According to the assistant, List of Government Officials even list the
officials' personal information provided by the State Council.
Reportedly, the three books are 80-percent credible. The authors gathered the
information from a general survey covering 15 million enterprises and
institutions, the assistant noted.
The reporter tried two phone numbers at random, and connected with a
representative both times, although each time the respective officials were not
in the office.
So why don't people just call the 114 directory assistance hotline to ask for
information about enterprises and government departments?
The assistant explained that the hotline can only offer information about the
main telephone number of the units, and often inquirers can't directly get
through to the business owners and the officials or find out the person's full
name.
Therefore, said the assistant, those trying to do business with the
enterprises or having some personal affairs to conduct with the officials might
find the information in the book useful.
