Consumers buy fireworks Sunday at an authorized store
in Beijing's Daxing District to prepare for Spring Festival, which
falls on January 29. Beijing lifted last September the 12-year ban
on the sale of fireworks in the Chinese capital in response to residents'
fondness for fireworks when celebrating China's lunar new year.
