Three to share 125m-pound EuroMillions prize

Three lucky winners have scooped the EuroMillions jackpot and will share the
record 125-million-pound (182-million-euro, 220.7-million-dollar) jackpot,
British lottery operator Camelot said.
The winning numbers for the top prize -- which sparked a frenzy of ticket
buying across Europe -- were 9, 21, 30, 39, 50. The Lucky Star numbers were 1
and 3.

2006.[Reuters] | One of the winning tickets was bought in Portugal and two were bought in
France, a Camelot spokeswoman said.
Camelot had estimated before the draw that the enormous top prize would push
up ticket sales by as much as 1,200 percent on a normal week in Britain alone.
The EuroMillions jackpot has been rolled over 11 times since it was last won
on November 11.
Since the lottery was launched in 2004, the biggest ever win has been
for Irish mother of six Dolores McNamara, who pocketed a cool 115,436,126 euros
in July 2005.
The world lottery record is held by the United States, which had a lottery
jackpot of 363 million dollars (298 million euros) in May
2000.
