Attorneys propose rules on videotaping Lindsay Lohan deposition

The Lohan and Ronson depositions are being sought by lawyers for Garbus and the law firm where the lawyer works, Davis & Gilbert LLP. Ronson originally sued the attorney in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 1, then filed an updated complaint on July 15.
After a judge dismissed Ronson's suit against Hilton on grounds it interfered with his freedom of speech and that she failed to prove malice, she sued Garbus and a second law firm, Bingham McCutcheon, concerning their representation of her in the Hilton case.
Under the proposed Lohan deposition order, the video and transcript could only be used in the current lawsuit and not in future litigation, unless a judge grants permission to do so. Only the parties, their lawyers and their expert witnesses could view them.
No one could be present at the Lohan deposition other than the actress, the court reporter, the videotape engineer, the parties and the lawyers.
The original video would be kept by Lohan's lawyers and copies would only be available to the other lawyers in the case. No more than four copies of the transcripts would be made.
When the lawsuit is concluded, all video copies would be returned to Lohan's lawyers and transcripts would be destroyed.
