The 12th China International Pharmaceutical Industry Exhibition concluded

The 12th China International Pharmaceutical Industry Exhibition (CHINA-PHARM 2007) was successfully concluded in Shanghai on October 31, 2007.
The exhibition attracted 403 famous exhibitors including 197 international exhibitors, accounting for 40% of the total number. The German Pavilion organized by Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and composed of 22 German enterprises recorded a net exhibition area of 905 sqm, and displayed their latest technologies and equipment by presenting each new product to the buyers through an innovative showcasing mode of “see it all”. Boasting a gross exhibition area of 22,000 sqm, the event attracted total 18,136 trade visitor times, who browsed through the latest technologies and equipment offered by a good many renowned enterprises from home and abroad. CHINA-PHARM Forum which was started one day before the opening launched special lectures with key-note speakers of experts and officials from International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, International Pharmaceutical Excipients Committee, Food and Drug Administration of the United States and International Anti-Aging Association etc. Seminar on “Standards for Drug GMP Examination and Appraisal” was also held by the State Food and Drug Administration in parallel with the event. Audience attending these forums was particularly interested in the lectures given by experts including discussion and analysis on professional policies and regulations, as well as an all-around prospect of the industry development.
Liu Yi, Deputy Director of the State Food and Drug Administration, Wang Longxing, Direct of Shanghai Food and Drug Administration and honorable guests both from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony and special activities dedicated for governmental officials. Numerous domestic and international press media give extensive reports on the grand event.
During the exhibition, the organizers specially invited more than 1,000 VIP visitors including enterprise leaders, technical directors and equipment managers etc to hold face-to-face talks with exhibitors in the VIP zone in a very positive atmosphere.
The 12th CHINA-PHARM has received great support from various partners with international influence, including International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, International Pharmaceutical Excipients Committee, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), Italian Association of Automatic Packaging and Packaging Machinery Manufacturers (UCIMA) and the Processing & Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), etc. CHINA-PHARM has become the only Ufi-approved exhibition brand among all similar events in China. Exhibitors reported satisfactory results at the event and expressed their strong wishes to participate in the 2008 edition in Beijing.
It is reported that the next exhibition will be held from November 12 to 14, 2008, at China International Exhibition Center, Beijing.
