Yunnan province is briefly named Dian or Yun, with Kunming as its provincial seat. In recent years, Yunnan has witnessed continued and stable development of its economy and new progress of restructuring. Its economic pillars include industries of tobacco, biology, minerals and tourism. Its industry has evolved into a light industry dominated by tobacco, tea and sugar making and a heavy industry with coal, electric power, steel, non-ferrous metal and machinery as mainstays.
In 2010, Yunnan’s GDP totaled 722 billion yuan.
云南省簡(jiǎn)稱滇或者云，省會(huì)城市昆明。近年來(lái)，云南經(jīng)濟(jì)持續(xù)穩(wěn)步發(fā)展，結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整取得新的進(jìn)展。煙草業(yè)，生物業(yè)，礦產(chǎn)業(yè)，旅游業(yè)為其主要經(jīng)濟(jì)支柱。工業(yè)建立了以煙草，茶葉，糖為支柱的輕工業(yè)，以煤炭，電力，鋼鐵，有色金屬，機(jī)械為主的重工業(yè)。
2010年云南省生產(chǎn)總值實(shí)現(xiàn)7220億元。
Under the open-door guidelines of the CPC Central Committee, Yunnan’s foreign trade has developed rapidly and formed a basic open-door structure based in the southwest of China, centered on the provincial seat of Kunming with the open cities along the borders and the borderline areas as the frontline and its doors open to the Southeast Asia and the whole world. With the strengthening of economic cooperation in the sub-region of Lancang-Mekong River, Yunnan is becoming the corridor and frontline in the regions of Southwest China opening up to the outside.
在中央對(duì)外開(kāi)放方針的指引下，云南省對(duì)外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易迅速發(fā)展?；拘纬闪艘灾袊?guó)大西南為依托，省會(huì)昆明市為中心，邊境開(kāi)放城市和邊境一線為前沿，面向東南亞和全世界的對(duì)外開(kāi)放格局。隨著瀾滄江－湄公河次區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)合作的加強(qiáng)，云南正成為中國(guó)西南地區(qū)對(duì)外開(kāi)放的通道和前沿。
