近日，全球最大的快餐集團(tuán)麥當(dāng)勞公開(kāi)承認(rèn)，根據(jù)美國(guó)去年年底起用的新方法檢測(cè)結(jié)果顯示，在每份麥當(dāng)勞薯?xiàng)l中，反式脂肪酸含量從過(guò)去的6克增加到8克，整體脂肪酸總含量從過(guò)去的25克增加到30克。每份麥當(dāng)勞炸薯?xiàng)l中不利于身體健康的反式脂肪酸含量比以前增加了1/3。美國(guó)食品與藥物管理局（FDA）稱，反式脂肪酸可增加人體"不良膽固醇"，增加患心臟病的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，這再次引發(fā)了外界對(duì)食品安全的質(zhì)疑。

the level of the potentially harmful substance under new U.S. government
rules on food labels to specify the level of the trans fat in food products.
McDonald's has upped its estimates for the trans fat in its french
fries by one-third, according to a published report. The newspaper reports
that the company is now reporting that a larger order of its french fries
have eight grams of trans fats, rather than the previously-reported six
grams.

fat就是"反式脂肪酸"。Tran-在英文中通常作為前綴和其它詞相互搭配，表示through（貫通），如：transcontinental（橫貫大陸的）;
表示change（變化；移動(dòng)），如：transliterate（翻譯）；表示across，
beyond（橫跨，越過(guò)），如：transpolar（橫跨南極的）。
本句中的tans是化學(xué)用語(yǔ)，表示having a pair of identical atoms on opposite sides of
two atoms linked by a double
