'Behind' can be a preposition or an adverb.

Feifei parked her car behind Neil's.

After the party last night, I stayed behind to help clean up the mess.

'Under' is used if something is being covered by something else.

My wallet was under the newspaper.

The presents are under the Christmas tree.
