From November 16th to 22th, at the invitation of Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) of India, a DRC delegation headed by Mr. Lu Zhongyuan, Vice President of DRC, paid a visit to India, studying the Indian experience in population flow and urban governance. During their stay in India, the delegation attended a seminar jointly held with RIS, and met with Prof. ABHIJIT Sen, Member of the Planning Commission, Dr. Alok Sheel, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Finance, Mr. A. K. Mehta, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Urban Development, and Dr. Arvinder Sachdeva, Economic Adviser of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of Government of India. Other delegation members included Mr. Zhang Junkuo, Director General, Mr. Hou Yongzhi, Deputy Director General, Mr. Liu Peilin, Mr. Liu Yunzhon, Senior Fellows from DRC’s Research Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, and Mr. Zhang Hongfei, Program Officer of DRC’s International Cooperation Department.
