Abstract：
The article started with the introduction of the implication of free trade area and the development trend of FTA in the world. After making a comparison of international experiences, it went on by analyzing the necessity and strategic significance for China to get involved in regional economic cooperation through the establishment of FTA. The article ended up by putting forward the FTA targets for China in different stages in the next 20 years and some policy suggestions for the present work.?
