Abstract: Jiangxi province is rich in resources and has picturesque scenery and good ecology. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, Jiangxi has achieved remarkable results in implementing the strategy of cultivating an ecological environment through green development. In 2014, it was listed as the national ecological civilization pilot zone by six government ministries and in 2016, it was set as one of the national ecological civilization pilot zones by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Moreover, Jiangxi’s provincial Party committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the value realization of ecological products, and incorporated it into the work system of ecological and environmental committee led by the provincial Party committee with the secretary of the provincial Party committee and governor of the provincial government as supervisors responsible for top-level design and work arrangements. By adhering to systematic planning, giving priority to pilot practices, and taking an open-oriented innovation and market-oriented approach, Jiangxi province has strived to explore the value realization mechanism of ecological products with its own characteristics, and there have been successful examples represented by Jing’an and Wuyuan counties and Fuzhou city. The main enlightenments drawn from Jiangxi province’s endeavor in promoting ecological product value realization show that its success rests on the continuous improvement of value compensation mechanism, the establishment of ecological product value evaluation mechanism and the constant pursuit of improvement of ecological product value trading mechanism.
