Seminar on achievements in economic and social development since the 18th CPC National Congress held

The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and the People's Publishing House held a seminar on historic achievements in economic and social development since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on June 28. Great Leap in Ten Years, a book depicts the achievements, was officially released at the seminar.
The seminar reviewed the historic achievements in economic and social development since the 18th CPC National Congress and their historical significance.
It was stressed at the seminar that we need to understand the historical significance of the achievements in the past ten years, and unify our thinking and action upon the decisions made by the CPC Central Committee. We must also accurately understand that the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee are overall, systematic, and scientific, always put the people first and take people's longing for a better life as the goal.
It was stressed at the seminar that experts and publishing houses should play their strengths in further illustrating and publicizing the achievements, historical experiences, and development practices since the 18th CPC National Congress. They should carry out researches on key issues that are of overall, strategic and forward-looking significance in economic and social development as well as reform and opening-up, especially on the impact of the new uncertainties in the international community upon China’s development, and provide valuable research results to improve quality and level of decision-making consultation, so as to contribute more to realizing the Second Centenary Goal.
The book, Great Leap in Ten Years, focuses on the New Development Philosophy and elaborates on the historic achievements in economic and social sectors since the 18th CPC National Congress from ten aspects. The book illustrates the new leap of Sinicization of Marxism in China with abundant examples. It was compiled by the DRC and is published by the People’s Publishing House.
More than 40 representatives from government departments, the People’s Publishing House, DRC, and the media attended the seminar.
