The 8th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo will kick off in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province from Sept 9-12, according to a press conference held by Guizhou local government authorities in Beijing on Aug 20.
Along with the 2018 Guizhou Inland Opening-up Economic Pilot Zone Investment and Trade Conference, the event is organized by the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce, Guizhou Council for the Promotion of Investment Trade, Guizhou Commerce Chamber, Guiyang city government and Zunyi city government.
The expo is expected to attract more than 2,000 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions, 953 of which are from overseas including French, Italy and Chile and1,076 are from domestic liquor companies from 23 provinces of China.
The expo will be held at a 72,000-square-meter hall, which can accommodate up to 3,000 stands. Moreover, eight pavilions will show off various alcoholic drinks such as flavor liquor, beer, and other renowned alcoholic beverages from both domestic and foreign places.
"More than an alcoholic beverages expo, it is a significant opportunity for Guizhou to get known and attract investment", said Lu Yongzheng, vice-governor of the province.
"It is also a treasured time to develop Guizhou's inland opening-up pilot zone", said Lu. More than 10 events will be held including signing ceremony of investment and trade programs and an industry investment promotion summit, concerning with industry such as big data, health care and mountainous agriculture in Guizhou province.
Since Guizhou launched Inland Opening-up Pilot Zone Investment and Trade Plan on 2016, Guizhou has already published 700 investment and trade programs to the world. In the first half year of 2018, Guizhou has received financing in place totalling 561 billion yuan ($82.1 billion), pointing to an 23 percent?year-on-year growth.
