The first Hebei Textile Garments Festival and Chinese Gongbi Exhibition will be held Oct 16 in Ningjin county in Xingtai.
An opening ceremony will be followed by a textile garment exhibition, a textile garment forum and a Gongbi industry forum.
Ningjin county boasts more than 1500 textile garment factories and 43,000 employers. The annual capacity of garments totals more than 240 million units and the annual income produced is more than 10 billion yuan. A complete industry chain of spinning, dyeing, washing, garment processing and accessory manufacturing has been developed in Ningjin.
Today, almost 4,000 employees in Ningjin county has are working for the “Gongbi” industry to produce goods valued at more than10 million yuan.
Gongbi is a technique in Chinese painting. The technique uses highly detailed brushstrokes without independent or expressive variation. Textiles using the Gongbi technique often are brightly colored and usually depict figures or narrative subjects.
