The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp (CASC) and the city of Langfang, in Hebei province, signed a cooperation agreement, on Dec 16, for building an aerospace science and technology industry park in the county of Gu’an, nearby Langfang.
The CASC-Langfang agreement is part of a strategic cooperation framework involving CASC and Hebei province and is seen as an important way to nurture new strategic industries, get the local economy and State to interact, and to upgrade Langfang's industries and change its economic mode.
The agreement calls for companies involved in aerospace technology applications and strategic emerging industries related to CASC, to settle in the park, with the Langfang municipal government providing the infrastructure and facilities.
