Three of Shanxi province’s enterprises -- the Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co, Shanxi Coking Coal (Group) Co, and Yangquan Coal Industry (Group) Co -- have been recognized as national demonstration units with their progress in the fields of iron and steel, energy, electronics, and safe production, after a recent Industrial and Information Ministry evaluation of their informationization and industrialization.

Combining informationization and industrialization is the highest phase in informationization development, where enterprises need comprehensive integration and coordination across the entire business information system, and need to improve management, safe production, and technical innovation.
