More than 20 exciting activities will be staged during the Tianma Culture and Tourism Festival in Zhaosu county in the Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
The festival will kick off on Saturday, highlighting equestrian, gourmet cuisine, poem and music events that will last through early December.
Zhaosu county is renowned as the "home of horses from heaven" in China. The festival has been held more than 30 times and aims to present local horse and grassland culture through folk customs and celebrations.
