The 18th China International Software Exposition awarded Qingdao Software and Hi-tech City for its best investment environment among software parks in China, 2014.

Twenty well-known software parks such as Zhongguancun Software Park, Shanghai Pudong Software Park, Nanjing Software Valley, Shenyang International Software Park and Qilu Software Park attended this expo. The organizing committee evaluated software parks from seven perspectives: sustainable innovation ability, industrial service environment, internationalization level, and public platform construction, talent cultivating mechanism, intermediary service and government efficiency. In the end, Qingdao Software and Hi-tech City stood out.

Qingdao Software and Hi-tech City is located in the High-tech District of Qingdao. Until now, nineteen professional software parks such as China Merchants Group Qingdao Net Valley – with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, and Kechuang Hui Valley – with a total investment of 8 billion yuan, have settled in this Hi-tech City. It is estimated that Qingdao Software and Hi-tech City will cover five million square meters, contain 120 thousand employees, and achieve a 40 billion yuan income in the software industry by 2016.
