Neighbors find man's pet is wolf in dog's clothing

A man in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, took home a stray dog, which turned out to be a young wolf.

The man surnamed Li said he and some friends went hiking in the mountains just before the Spring Festival and found the "little dog" inside some bush. It was injured and Li said he felt sorry for the animal and took it to a local pet hospital for treatment.

As the time passed, the animal got bigger and neighbors realized it resembled a wolf and called police.

Police and wild animal workers confirmed it was a wolf and took it to the zoo.
