Tang Yijia, a soap maker works out of a studio in Hangzhou set up by Hu Gefei startup. This June, she introduced a beautiful tea and sweet osmanthus soap that makes the perfect gift for tourists to remind them of the city.

Most women like aromatic goods, Tang said. Five years ago, Tang learned to use essential oil to make lipstick, facial masks and other goods.

Tang's products have a word of mouth following among her friends. Last year, Tang decided to open a workshop to make soap because soap is a daily necessity for families, she said.

All her soap is handmade and natural without any chemical components, says Tang.
