PHILADELPHIA - World all-around champion Shawn Johnson and twice US champion Nastia Liukin clinched places in the US women's Olympic gymnastics team on Sunday.

Johnson, 16, was the leading points-scorer at the two-day trials with an aggregate 127.650 from the four events.
Liukin, who struggled on the uneven bars and balance beam on Sunday, was runner-up with 125.850.
Chellsie Memmel, the 2005 world all-around champion, was third with 124.800 followed by Samantha Peszek on 123.250.

The rest of the six-member US Olympic team will be named after next month's selection camp on July 20.
Johnson registered the night's top performances on the balance beam (16.200) and the floor exercise (16.200). Memmel earned top marks on the uneven bars (16.400), while Alicia Sacramone had the highest score on the vault (16.000).
Earlier on Sunday, the US men's team for Beijing was finalised, comprised of 2004 Olympic all-around champion Paul Hamm, his twin brother Morgan Hamm, Jonathan Horton, Joe Hagerty, Justin Spring and Kevin Tan.
Alexander Artemev, Raj Bhavsar and David Durante were named as alternates.
