North Korea may have carried out its planned nuclear test, Yonhap news agency quoted an unnamed government official as saying on October 9, 2006. It quoted the official as citing intelligence reports saying the test may have been conducted on Monday morning. A defence ministry spokesman said he could not confirm the report. U.S intelligence said it cannot confirm the test.[Reuters]
