The 4th Chengdu International Digital Entertainment Week will be held at the science and technology quarter of Chengdu from November 14 to 20, according to a press conference on October 10. At the opening ceremony, Chengdu will officially release the China IT market Chengdu index. It means the city is ready to launch into operation Chengdu's monitoring station, the only IT market index monitor in West China. The candidate city to host China IT market index monitoring station must meet multiple norms. Chengdu becomes the final winner, an evidence of the city's industrial aggregating power and competitiveness in the IT terminal market.

Four activities of local characteristics will be held during the week. In terms of e-commerce, the 3rd China Western Region E-commerce Summit Forum will be held. In the perspective of Internet of Things, Chengdu and LG Group will jointly sponsor the West China LGCNS Intelligent Cities Strategy Seminar. Meanwhile, Chengdu will cooperate with Lenovo to hold a special show on Lenovo and its development of its electronic information industry in Chengdu in 2011. This will contribute to boost Chengdu into a world-class component of the industrial chain of the e-information industrial base. In the course of entertaining local residents with digital facilities, the activity will also hold a comic and animation innovation design competition, inviting global comic and animation masters to meet digital entertainment fans in Chengdu.
