Lujiazui Riverside City is located east of Pudong South Road, west of Rongcheng Road, north of Changyi Road and south of the Huangpu River. It covers about 250,000 square meters of land and 1,367,000 square meters of overall construction. The Shanghai Pujiang Brilliance Twin Towers located in the city are 216 meters high. The project was completed at the end of 2010.

In 2009 the Shanghai Municipal People's Government approved to name the area Lujiazui Riverside City. The construction was financed by CITIC Pacific and China State Shipbuilding Corporation and designed by a group of world-class architects. It will be developed into a collection of high-end office buildings, luxury hotels and apartments, and entertainment venues.

China Construction Bank and the Agricultural Bank of China have established offices in the Pujiang Brilliance Twin Towers, a completed building which is part of the first phase of the Lujiazui Riverside City project.

The remaining phases of the project are currently under construction.
