Changting Revolutionary Committee Former Site

The site is located in the Chengguan area of Changting county (just outside of the ancient city gate), facing west-east. It was previously called Qingyin Pavilion and Jijing Pavilion and was one of the eight scenes of Changting, known as Yunxiangfengyue (quiet and beautiful landscape at night with clouds).
The site was built in the Song Dynasy (960-1279). In 1838 during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), it was restructured into a two-story hall-like building with a civil structure. Covering an area of 852 square meters, the site features houses, a gateway, a courtyard, and decorative dark-colored stones.
In the middle of the first floor is a hall, with two rooms on its left side and three rooms on its right. On the second floor is a winding corridor, with a hall in the middle. Each side has two rooms. The building has gable and hip roofs with double eaves.
In March 1929, the 18th year of the Republic of China, after the Fourth Army of the Red Army entered Changting county, it convened a meeting with representatives from different walks of life. The first county-level red political regime was set up in western Fujian province, namely the Changting Revolutionary Committee.
In 1974, the provincial department of culture subsidized to renovate the site. In 1988, the State Council listed the site in the third batch of Key National Cultural Heritage Protection Units.
