Just like other regional expositions, the China-Northeast Asia Expo has strategic meaning on the national level, Zhang Yunling, researcher from the Chinese Academy of Science, said during an interview.

The expo serves as a driving force to promote the prosperity and development of Northeast China. To achieve that goal, Zhang said that the priority is to highlight the features of the region. Second, the expo should focus on national cooperation among Northeast Asian countries.
