A fun chess contest kicked off in the Qingdao International Beer City on Aug 21. Compared to formal chess competitions, this contest forces players to drink one liter of beer before the game. According to Wang Hongwei, head coach of the Qing Wei Chess Club in Qingdao, the contest breaks new ground in China. "Players have to pass two tests, measuring wisdom and drinking capacity," Wang said.
