The project of Bahe International Binshui Biological Park is one of the key projects of the Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park (ITL) this year.
The park will be located near Bahe River to its west and several real estate projects to its east. It will include two geographical areas, there will not be any major construction in the west area, while the east area will be transformed into a park bordered by the land involved in real estate construction.
Upon completion, the park is expected to reach a total length of 6,580 meters, covering an area of about 700,000 square meters, and the project is also expected to promote other nearby projects. The park is set to transform the urban landscape into a large-scale ecological park for leisure activities, also offering entertainment and cultural experiences.
It will include five theme zones: an ecological sports zone, residential landscape zone, commercial landscape zone, cultural exploration zone, and a suburban wild park zone. The zones will include auxiliary facilities such as sports venues, administrative offices, commercial buildings, landscaping sculptures, and lawns.
The park will be located in a State-level water conservancy scenic area, bordering the Bawei Delta Wetland to the north and, as Xi’an city accelerates it development with the aim of becoming an international metropolis, Bahe River will become an inner city river of Xi’an.
In addition, as the Xi’an municipal administrative center relocates to the north, the ITL will enjoy a better geographical advantage as it is located only about 10 minutes drive away from the new administrative center, and the park’s adjacent areas are expected to house about 80,000 permanent residents.
The project - with investment totaling 500 million yuan ($81.7 million) - is expected to be completed in about 12 to 15 months. The living facilities have been completed, and experts predict an average return of investment rate of about 12 percent and a payback period of eight to ten years.
In addition, the preparatory and overall planning concepts have been completed. Companies are welcome to take part in the project’s construction and operation in various financing forms, such as cooperative development, BT (Build-Transfer) and BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer).
