Aviation Oil Service
Established in September 1997, Shanghai Pudong International Airport Aviation Fuel Supply Co lies at No 1 Pudong Airport Avenue and specializes in providing refueling services for domestic and foreign airlines landing at and taking off from Pudong Airport. The company is jointly funded by three shareholders, namely, Shanghai International Airport Co, China Aviation Oil (Singapore) and Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Corporation.
The company has complete fuel supply facilities and advanced refueling equipment. Its current fuel supply facilities include the Gaoqiao Transshipment Oil Depot, an airport oil depot, an aviation refueling station and oil transmission pipelines inside and outside the airport. The operation and management of the entire oil supply system are controlled automatically to a great extent. Aviation oil is transmitted to the airport oil depot through outside oil transmission pipelines after being received at the Gaoqiao Transshipment Oil Depot. The oil is then transmitted to the airport ramp through inside oil transmission pipelines. Aviation refueling services are then provided by virtue of tank and pipeline refuelers.
The company started operation on October 1, 1999 when Pudong International Airport officially opened to air traffic. For more than six years, the company has strictly implemented safety management rules and provided domestic and foreign airlines with safe and high-quality fuel support services. Both refueling volume and refueled planes have significantly increased since the company’s establishment. Besides supplying oil for regular flights, the company also provides refueling support for special and chartered planes. For example, the company provided refueling support for business planes for the Shanghai Fortune Forum World Top 500 Conference "99", the Conference of the Heads of Five Countries in Shanghai in 2001, and the APEC conference in Shanghai. The company passed ISO9000 Quality System Certification in March 2003 and ISO14000 Environment System Certification in January 2005.
The company provides qualified and accurate refueling support services for special and chartered planes and regular flights landing at Pudong International Airport. The company also provides technical consultancy regarding aviation oil and services for the construction of oil supply facilities of Pudong International Airport.
