胡錦濤主席在十七大報(bào)告中談到堅(jiān)定不移發(fā)展社會(huì)主義民主政治時(shí)說，人民民主是社會(huì)主義的生命。發(fā)展社會(huì)主義民主政治是我們黨始終不渝的奮斗目標(biāo)。
以下是新華社的英文報(bào)道：
"People's democracy is the lifeblood of socialism," Hu said in his report to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Saying that the essence and core of socialist democracy are that the people are masters of the country, Hu proposed that both urban and rural areas gradually adopt the same ratio of deputies to the represented population in the election of deputies to the people's congresses.
胡錦濤主席在十七大報(bào)告中強(qiáng)調(diào)，人民民主是社會(huì)主義的生命。人民當(dāng)家作主是社會(huì)主義民主政治的本質(zhì)和核心。建議逐步實(shí)行城鄉(xiāng)按相同人口比例選舉人大代表。
“擴(kuò)大人民民主，保證人民當(dāng)家作主”即 “to expand the people's democracy and ensure that they are masters of the country”。
