Shanghai's two airports achieve rewards in service quality evaluation
The results of the 2014 China Civil Airport Service Quality Evaluation, a survey jointly conducted by China Civil Airports Association, China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology and CAAC News, were officially published on March 17.
Shanghai's two airports are both rewarded in the evaluation. Pudong International Airport is one of the winners in the Best Passenger Satisfaction Awards, while Hongqiao International Airport being rewarded as Best Service Quality Awards.
A total of 26 airports have been voted by customers as the winners in the 2013 and 2014 surveys. The 2014 survey covered 20 domestic airports - one with more than 10 million passengers, 11 with 5-10 million passengers and 8 with 1-5 million passengers, while the 2013 survey covered 30 domestic airports, 21 of which handled more than 10 million passengers.
The survey evaluates customer experience across 13 indicators for passenger satisfaction, 3 indicators for safety service and 33 indicators for service quality. The indicators include airport transportation, inquiry, check-in, security, baggage claim, arrivals, transfers, shopping, departure at the gate, etc.
